Join Augusta’s Community Halloween Celebrations
Fall is Here and Halloween is Coming

Today is the first day of fall in Augusta. The mornings are cooler. The evenings come a little earlier. This is the time of year when families begin to plan for Halloween. At Augusta Recreation and Parks, we are ready to help you celebrate.

Halloween is a time for costumes, candy, and fun. It is also a time when safety is very important. Many families worry about children walking along dark streets or crossing busy roads. Others feel nervous about going door to door in neighborhoods they do not know well. That is why our department offers Halloween events at community centers across Augusta.

Our events give families a safe place to enjoy Halloween. The centers are well lit. Staff and volunteers are present at all times. Parking is close by and easy to find. Children can collect candy, play games, and join in activities without the risks that sometimes come with traditional trick-or-treating. Parents can relax and know that their children are safe. Everyone can focus on having fun.

These celebrations are also about community. At the centers, you can meet neighbors and friends. You can enjoy the holiday together in a friendly and welcoming setting. For many families, it has become a yearly tradition. Children remember the fun for years to come.
